Are you interested in serving the Illinois Valley as a Zone Director for the Illinois Valley SWCD?

In 2024, we will elect directors for zones 1,4, and 5 as well as one at-large director. Directors meet once a month and may also serve on special committees throughout their terms.

NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR DISTRICT DIRECTORS OF THE ILLINOIS VALLEY
SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that on November 5, 2024 an election will be held for the purpose of electing board directors to the following positions for the Illinois Valley Soil and Water Conservation District:

Positions: Zone 1, 4-year term, Zone 4, 4-year term, Zone 5, 4-year term, At Large 1, 4-year term.

Zone boundaries, eligibility requirements, and copies of the required elections forms may be obtained at the SWCD Office located at 331 E. Cottage Park Drive Suite 1B Cave Junction, OR 97523.

Each candidate must file a “Declaration of Candidacy” and a “Petition for Nomination Signature Sheet” with the Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division. The filing deadline is 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2024.
